Descpilot ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Descpilot Shopify app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

When you install Descpilot, we collect:

• Your Shopify store domain and OAuth access token (required to read and write product data)
• Product titles, descriptions, and metadata from your store (used solely to generate AI-powered descriptions)
• Your store's name and email address (for account identification)
• Billing subscription status (managed via Shopify Billing API)

We do not collect personal data about your customers.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To generate AI-powered product descriptions via OpenAI's API
• To sync and store your product data so you can review and push descriptions
• To manage your subscription and enforce usage quotas

3. Data Sharing

We share product content with OpenAI solely to generate descriptions. We do not sell your data or share it with any other third parties.

4. Data Retention

Your store data is retained while the app is installed. When you uninstall Descpilot, your store record and all associated data are deleted within 48 hours.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@getdescpilot.com.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
